Like Tony (bigt0706) said, get some calibration fluid from Pinpoint and calibrate it. You want it to be accurate at 1.026, not 1.000...

Mine tested at .05 (Hanna). The tank is only 6 months old. I've had a fuge since day 1. Just started GFO after the .05 test. I have 1 gallon of GFO in a DIY reactor....

I used pond foam on my 390 after seeing it on a couple of other tanks. I like it. Just remember...it doesn't stick to glass. It does stick to acrylic.

I NEVER use copper. Nothing goes straight into the tank except food and water. I have 2 tupperware containers of sand in my QT currently because I have 2 wrasses in QT.
