I put some lr rubble in my hob filter today. I also added a culture of pods in the hob filter. Will this be a decent place for them to thrive?

Freshwater aquariums seem to run fine with an amount of fish that would never work in a marine aquarium. For a 20 gal f.w. tank you can have 10 fish or so, but in a marine aquarium you can have 4 if...

Seems you can keep fewer fish in a SW reef tank than a FW planted tank. Why is this..and why is marine life so much more sensitive than their fresh water counterparts?

Today I got a frag of pulsing xenia from my lfs (5 bucks)...was that a decent price?
More importantly, it is has been in the tank for about 4 hours and is pulsing away, but it isnt totally opened...
