Direct Calcium Hydroxide

I remember reading this somewhere but I cant find it anymore...

Why is it bad to add small amounts of calcium hydroxide directly into our sump?

Why must it be dissolve in freshwater first?

Is there any disadvantage to adding properly measured calcium chloride flakes directly into the sump (instead of dissolving it in solution before dosing)?

Bleaching old sand to reuse it

Hi Randy,

I have about 200 lbs of aragonite that I was hoping to reuse and place in a remote deep sandbed bucket.

I wanted to take the old sand into store it in a bucket, pour a jug of bleach...

ATI's are currently made from a different manufacturer than D&D
(They used to be the same)

ATI bulbs are slighter better than D&D so if you should try to get the ones you ordered
