There is a 6 inch piece of pvc that stands vertically on the output that you twist between open to closed to change the water level. The pvc is open on the top.

I had the saw out and ready to go....

The euroloc is just a simple locking system that requires about a 1/3 turn to tighten or release the cup from the body. It is fast and easy to do. I think I will like it better than a threaded union....
