I've seen and kept many a Petco fish. I have one of those tank raised neon dottybacks and a clarkii clown and damsel from them still. The right store makes all of the difference. I may go check them...

So I added the skimmate from my current skimmer...

If you can catch it, give it a fresh water dip for 5 minutes in ph and temp matched water. That is where I'd start.

Current fish you've had over 2 years?

I have 2, a 12" coris and a yellow tail damsel. My clown trigger will be 2 years in my care in May.

Anyone else? I picked 2 years since I don't have any 3 year fish....

I'm not sure. It was timid, and smaller than the others, but didn't run away. I know I had done a water change and had moved its rock cover, so perhaps that didn't help as I've read can be an issue...
