you need to pull all the existing MH ballast...
you need to pull all the existing MH ballast components out, since you are replacing them entirely with the icecaps. it should go straight from the icecap to the socket.

pics? what exactly are you calling the igniter? igniter is a component of a magnetic HQI (and Pulse start) ballast, so you should not need to use it at all with the icecap.

the bucket's o-ring *might* seal well enough. it would be risky long term though, since any leak will probably mean a wet carpet.

i don't like bladder tanks in general because they make the RO work against pressure, but you gotta do one if you want it to feed a drinking faucet/icemaker.
i'd put the bladder tank on it's own...

i really like aqualifters for cheap&easy topoff pumps. they are only 12 bucks and give you a nice slow drip so you can dose kalk with it. plus it can use 1/4" poly for the intake and outlet hoses...
