Yes, they go together. The HD bulkheads are the way to go, as far as I'm concerned. no worries about overtightening, and I've never had one fail.

The tank is reef-ready, with an overflow in the back center. additionally it has two holes in the back (near the bottom) for a closed loop. The tank is 2 years old.
