Have you considered a couple of koralia's? They stay in place and look better than the seio's. Also reasonably priced.

Just awesome work man! I recently rehabbed an oldschool 170 with new silicone and built a stand and canopy for it...It was absolute hell..You make it seem like a walk in the park..Beautiful...

Hey Vito...I am in Port CHarlotte also and started a larger reef a few weeks ago from a smaller tank...Keep in touch and maybe we can do some equipment/coral/fish trading at some point. Good luck.

I drilled some also..Only had trouble with the aquacultured stuff...
it's like concrete..also, be careful using a plug in drill..I shocked myself
a couple of times really good while drilling.

Yes..the T5's pack quite a bit more output than pc's. Check out
the Grim Reefer. He seems to be a T5 guru here.

I just built a stand using 2x4's for a 170 gallon and I spaced them out 18" apart just b/c I was nervous and read that...Glass diffuses the weight to the edges though so you might be o.k..Double up...

I believe the key is to not bother the sand bed too much to avoid
a cycle..keep your rock and other livestock underwater at a warm temp. Use an airstone and a battery powered air pump.

There almost has to be a reason..I have kept FW tanks with good
lights and no plants and didn't have an algae problem..Too many
fish or not enough water changes would be my guess.
