I belive they are some form of squirt, i have some in my tank as well, they suck in water and shoot it out the other end. When i first found one i was pushing on it and it squirted me.

Im pretty sure to have a overflow you need a drilled tank, unless you buy one of those hang on back overflows, but im pretty sure anyone with one of those would rather have a regular overflow.

Im pretty sure only the males develop streamers otherwise ever naso you see would have them, which they dont. I have a male about 5" long who has small streamers and ive seen a female the same size...

I got a 72x24x30 with starphire and eurobracing with 4 holes drill and two overflows for 900 canadian from interamerican. Great tank i guess you would have to get it shipped so that might cost a bit.

Yes i have a wireing diagram but it doesnt explain the holes on the socket just basic diagram two red wires to socket one yellow out kinda thing.
