I either hit the wrong key, or my f-stops are really messed up. Yeah mines a 2.8, hit the wrong key. Now don't get confused between close ups and Macro, all macros are closeups but not all closeups...

I've heard nothing but good things about the 17-55. Nice choice. I just bought the 50mm 1.4 myself. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but a 50mm 1.8 is a nice buy also at only $70.

Very nice. If I could give tiny advice. Experiment with some foreground elements in your sunset and sunrise pictures. Like how the rocks in pic #6 really helped the overall composition.
