Depends on how much glue, if you did a lot then it could weaken the joint. It doesn't take much and you want it to dry well before putting in the water.

I wouldn't use them for wavemakers though, The propellers sometimes stick when being turned back on. May just need cleaned but I don't know...

The primer cleans the pipe of the protective material they add at the factory. Its better to use it, but if its clean enough its not required. The more pressure the more important.

Any suggestions, at the moment quite a bit of girgling. Its move about 400 gph about 4 feet down. U tube goes into divided rear section then flows over and down the drain.

The bottom of my overflow has an extra 1" bulkhead. If I connect it to a pump with a return over the top, then the only real concern I see is that the water can't pass through...

At 170 gallons its not real easy to drain and move!
