I had large quantities of this stuff before. Stick to the basics (water changes, skimming, and good flow) and it may take care of itself. Try that before adding any chemicals to your tank.

Please don't take this the wrong way. I think that you should open up the rock work a bit. Open , cave like structures on bottom with shelved upper portion for corals. It's just preference I guess...

Actually I'm using a in-sump trickle filter....

Actually I'm using a in-sump trickle filter. Nothing in the overflow except the plumbing. Moving it slowing out is definitly a good idea though.

I'd change it around. A different look will surely motivate you back into the hobby. Plus it's fun if you don't have alot of corals in the tank to worry about. My 2 cents.

Just going to echo what others have said. I've been there 3 times. The current is strong. Never dive without training. Very bad move. Besides Wilma has probably destroyed the reef by now.

Don't know the exact name but I had an outbreak of that a few months ago. It started to get real bad for a few months but went away after introducing an emerald crab + focused water change schedule....
