The water flow through it will be directly related to the size pump used for it. I would use the recommended flow rated pump for that model for top efficiency....with a smaller volumn it will be...

been using it for years in my fresh water top off system ...one teaspoon per gallon should give a PH over 11.......I don't use a kalk reactor so it helps to off set the lowering PH effect from the...

IMO nope.... I would use a quality carbon such as Black Diamond ESV etc... use about a cup per 100 gals and as mentioned a enough flow to keep it tumbling.

I have an O'Dell 90 also purchased in '89 and has never been w/o water since.....well built and yes it has a tempered bottom, not sure, but I don't think the sides/back are.

yup..happens to me all the time too..........just lower it down...because you will lose too much water and if you have a top off system to replemish it....it will lower the Specific gravity...unless...
