I had a similar problem with one of mine. I found that I made one good one and one with the 3m pad too thin. This will not pull as much air through the pad and move less water.

I run two in series using a MJ1200. I put carbon in the first and a rowa in the other. I do not have to dial it down , it just loses enough flow by going through the carbon to keep the rowa boiling.

The problem is the tumbling will generate more ground up rowa. ALso they tend to be used up at different rates. At just $30 I would buy another reactor if you have the space and chain them together...
