I dont think anyone can really say which is the best salt.,Its a matter of opinion.Its like asking whats the best car. I use Instant Ocean,no problems here.

If you make the hole to large then the water...

If you make the hole to large then the water level will be to high. Just plug the hole and start over.Good to go a little at a time so you dont have this problem.
