also i am planning to run the system with dead rock and live sand for 2 weeks, than add my 135gallons from my old aquarium and add the other 90#s of lr from the old tank

would it be ok?

Great, i am moving this week, and i am starting a new 150gallon, and i can't yet afford a good lighting system, so anyway i want to have like a month at least for the tank to cycle :)

water from the diplay tank will flow to the intake chamber and the refugium, only small partion of the water actually goes throu the skimmer, at least that's what i understood, so you don't loose...

a sump is built from 3 main compartments, shouldn't it be same to calculate the thichness of the acrylic to the size of the biger comparment?

acrylic thickness for a sump

Hey guys,

i just purchesed a new 150gallon high tank, and i am going to build a sump for it,

now the sump size should be aboue 22"x22"x18". i was wondering if 1/8" acrylic would be strong...
