internal overflow design

i like both tanks. Just one queston? Are you running Co2 on your freshwater? Anything over 2w per gallon and you should. That might be why your getting some alage. Anyways keep up the good work.

diamater size for return line?

what size pvc should i use if im using a mag 5 for my return pump from my sump. I'm going to have a 1 inch drain from my 24g and was thinking 1/2 inch for the return. would this be correct?
