before you use the wire saw..try some 50lb test...
before you use the wire saw..try some 50lb test braided fishing line..we use it at work to remove glued on items..it works well..just saw back and forth

yup..I`d say rinse in RO and let dry..the salt from the water is conducts electricity and is causing the problems.
