Maybe 2 125s? This is only a 55 gallon tank. But I do plan to get a bigger one eventually. Maybe T5s would be better as far as heating the water. I kind like the way MHs shimmer in the water though....

What are your water parameters? Cyanobacteria likes high nutrients like Nitrates and Phosphates. It also likes low water flow. Is it slimey or hairy? If it's slimey then it's probably Cyanobacteria....
