MTC HSA1000 Skimmer F/S Brooklyn, NY

Skimmer has old style body with new style quick clean injector assembly. Injector assembly did have small crack in pvc housing, but was easily repaired with PVC solvent.

I would put a piece of filter pad over it to keep the dust out of the skimmer and then activated carbon. Probably change it every 6 months or more depending on your skimmate production

Thats looks like that is exactly what it is. I would imagine the extra part is for carbon to keep the smell of the skimmate to a minimum.

Trust me, I have 2 Tunze 6025s and cannot run both in my 20L (30" Long). Way too intense. They were worth every penny.
