If I end up pulling the Fluval permanently then perhaps I can just do some water changes to keep up until things stabilize. The tank has a relatively light bio load.

The media inside the fluval is mainly just loose small pieces of live rock. All 3 baskets are filled with the stuff. Not using any...

Can this be done with power compact lighting? I have twin 36" fixtures (55x4) over my tank and I'm wondering if I could keep this coral or not. Are MH a requirement?

Thanks. I'll make sure to splash them or spray them down every 3-5 minutes to make sure they stay damp. It should only take me about 10-15 minutes to refill the tank.

OK so they can be exposed for a few minutes - but you need to not let them dry up? So would keeping them damp w/a spray bottle that has some tank water work OK if you are going to have the water low...

Besides sooner or later coraline will start crowding it out and then your snails will have to go elsewhere for a meal.

How do you clean your tank?

I don't understand. Aren't anemones and corals never supposed to be exposed to air? With the reefs some of you have how do you even change more than 10% of your water at a time without exposing...

Yeah he's my prize crab. Knowing now that he's relatively scarce in the trade I got him for a bargain price ($2.50). Bet I could ebay him for $25 or more. ;)

Check this guy out. Never seen him anywhere before either on the web or in print.

Anyone got an ID? I picked him up at a LFS and have had him for almost a year now. He's a big crab, my largest....
