there is a mod that uses air line tubing and an air valve to control the vent. one benefit to the tubing and valve is that the valve stays away from salt creep and so stays unclogged.

I dont know. it works as is, just couldnt run it with a capped top no matter what size hole I had. It works, I just thought it was simpler when I first made it. I can get by with the way it is.
