Are those the stands only holding the glass by the 2 ends and center? I have seen a lot of those type at the LFS and they seem like they would cause too much stress on the seams.

If you are going to use a hang on back overflow it would be best to get a U tube design from Lifereef, also many LFS sell them too. Mine has not lost siphon, or had any bubble build up in 5 years....

Not sure about CPR HOB overflows, but with Americle and Lifereef overflows you can power off the pumps for hours and never have to worry about it losing siphon. I still think the "U" tube on HOB...

Thanks for the input everyone. Would adding more support to the current stand hurt it in anyway? I was going to added a few 2x4s for the internal support for the stand for extra strength.
