I have 120W T5 and a golden maxima 6" from the surface in a 33g tank.
It's doing great. Maximas an croceas do well on rocks. They will attach themselves to the rock if they like the spot.

I've heard that croceas are the most demanding clams, then maxima.
Try to buy aquacultured maximas, they are hardier than wild caught.
