that's exactly what I am wanting! It looks like plastic coated chicken wire only holes are a little smaller and it's a fairly ridiged. I'll try Lowe's tomorrow.

you could build your stand using 2x4's for the same price as buying a stand. The homemade stand allows you to "fit" the items in your sump rather than limiting your options of equipment you can use....

It's been a while since I posted/read this thread. I need a skimmer for a 400g reef tank. You guys have had great success in make the cheaper affordable skimmers out perform the pricey name brands....
