yeah it does feel like fiberglass splinters when you get the bristles stuck to you. Duct tape work really well to remove them!

Any standard glass will filter out UVB and UVC radiation, however will not filter out UVA radiation. Your best bet would be to contact a glass shop. Here is what the description of the glass says...
