Is it a sump or a refugium? I run 1600 GPH thru my 50G sump with no problem. My 30x24x6 refugium gets about 800 GPH. I also have a powerhead in it to circulate the water within the refugium.

I would also suggest using an aquarium safe silicone sealant between the tank and the bulkhead seal. It's hard to seat them "just right" and this makes sure that you don't have a leak.

I would pick a larger front to back distance than height. You can do a much more natural and complex aquascape, and it gives you more surface to mount corals.

I used a orange oil based solvent. Took the tag right off and didn't harm the acrylic. I got rid of the oil residue with a swipe of a clean cloth.
