i would say : or the larger one ( female) don't accept the smaller one sa her male.
Or the smaller one is trying to get dominant/...

Hum.. If think it depends on the Layout of the Reef aquarium, if u have the layout plenty of Rock, your fishes don't have so many space to ''swim''..

I have a Nano of more or less the same size, and i have a Pseudochromis Fridmani, and two ocelaris ( B&W and Orange one ). They do very well for the nano.
