I have a 70x28(W)x30(T) tank. I have (3) 400W 20K Radiums and like them very much. I would say however that with a 24" depth you are probably ok with 250W.

For what it is worth I have the 3/4" rated Tunze magnet holders and love them. I have my 6100's running full blast at the max angles and they dont budge.
