My guage on my ro/di unit is half way between 40...

My guage on my ro/di unit is half way between 40 and 85psi.Without the float valve I have a 4 to 1 waste to filtered ratio.When I hook it up to my storage container with a float valve I get 6 to one....

I don't understnd what cold water has to do with it.The auto-shutoff doesn't shut off soon enough.The float valve shuts off fine.
