GSM's are pretty agressive clowns so I think you would be ok as far as them not getting killed. I kept a GSM with my porcupine puffer and they did great together. I'd wait at least couple months...

The little guy probably won't stand a chance against the big one. I would not recommend keeping a single porcupine puffer in anything less than a 6ft, 125 gal tank.

You'll need to keep up with very regular water changes (I would do 25% daily) until ammonia and nitrite hit 0 and stay there. Cut back on your feeding during this period.
