i ordered it with the upgrade, with the electronic ballast you have more bulb options and also ordered the iwasaki 15k bulb and with an electronic it performs much better.

i just switched back from t5's to halides, i missed the shimmer lines and the overall look of them, i would try to see a few tanks with t5's and halides then make your decision.
