sorry, but i find my acans do really poorly if not fed. they are 12 inches under 70watt halides so lighting is sufficient, and parameters are spot on.

heh, acans are TOUGH, they can survive in really low alk, they just won't grow. what kills them is if you don't feed them, they actually need to be fed once a week or so.

how strong are flasher wrasses?

The Lineatus is definitely the boss, while the Hawaiian Flame used to dominate the Mystery, but now they are par.

i'm going to save you some time on your decision...

i'm going to save you some time on your decision making process. get an H&S. Solid skimmer, not as pricey as Bubble Kings or Deltecs, but will perform in the same level. Just decide on the size.

if you read the ingredients of Rod's food most of them aren't hard to acquire and its not much different from a custom home made mix. i would save the dollars and hassle and just mix my own :)
