i think petorama seels the das, but it seems to suffer some quality control issues just like the reef octopus skimmers, which may be another to consider if money is tight.

T5 simply means 5/8" diameter, T8 8/8" ie 1 inch, T12 12/8" ie 1 1/2", etc.

take a look and tell me if its hype or not, this is a standard nano cube with "standard" compact lighting.

well i just measured my little borthers satellite's power compact bulb, and it has a 5/8" diameter bulb, which imakes it technically "T5".

so again, id take a deeper look at the actual light...

ive been doing the same search, and came across a thread that listed seedsetc and specialty lights, and both i believe have free shipping. seedsetc is the ebay on and is cheaper than reefgeek.

doubt that, gonna have a big skimmer in the sump, plenty of gas exchange and oxygenation in skimmer and and sump (shallow water, tons of surface area). no worries there. thanks though

how about painting the bottom of the tank white...

how about painting the bottom of the tank white (outside,under). would make cleaning the bottom and keeping it "reflective" nice and easy.
