Ive got a coral beauty which has been in my tank for at least a year without nipping at SPS or LPS of any kind. It likes to pick on the rockwork and thats about it. I guess i got lucky :)

The higher the water is towards the collection cup, the "wetter" you are skimming. For dry foam you need a skimmer that has some awesome air pulling/bubble making power and need to set the water...
