I think if you could some how get rid of the crushed coral and go with sand, you wouold be better off. I would remove the bioballs (slowly) and put some rock in the sump. Are you running a skimmer?

I would agree that not all live rock is equal, but do not go just on weight. 200lbs of very dense rock would not have near the surface area of say Dry Fiji Pukani Rock. You want rock that is porous...
