I have a brute can, and when the water gets low, the humidity builds up and I can smell a slight mildew smell. Thats it. I usually keep it full to avoid this.

12 gram is really small. I would go with a 9 or 16 ounce tank. Really a 20Oz. would be better.

Can you guys share your experiences with the Apple MacBook Pro. Im not sure if they are worth the price. The 17" starts at $2,799. Thats without upgrades. I can get a fully pimped out IBM for $2,112.

Yes, if you leave the ballast, it will be over driven by 40 some watts. This is a pretty good amount and will really shorten the life of the bulb. And I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to...
