I was wondering if the ap 24 hood could be modded to hold either a 150w MH or 2 70wMHs.

I'm figuring that heating would be major issue.

You can but then it wouldn't be a closed loop. Remember if the power goes out, your tank will drain to the level of the closed loop drain.
