I used the AquaChef for a week over Thanksgiving and it worked really well. You will have to get over leaving the lid up because no auto-feeder is going to fit under your BC29 hood.

Are you sure your nitrate measurements are accurate?

Test the nitrate level in your RO/DI water and in your tap water to confirm.
