Last night I opened all the way the drain valve...

Last night I opened all the way the drain valve to my skimmer section and the valve from my pump.

Voila! The flow immediately balanced itself.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm using a reef-ready tank. It has two internal overflows along the back wall with AGA Durso-type drain pipes.

You might want to check with Sherwin Williams before you decide what to do. The stain and finish on that canopy are from their industrial line and might be hard for an individual to purchase...

Thanks Archieb. I ordered new bulkheads with the slip insides from Albert at Aquacave. Cannarella, Megaflow must have made the change fairly recently. What a stupid move.

Another option is just to cut the nipple ends off the bulkheads. I would have about 3/4" of thread to which to attach a pvc fitting. Is that enough?

I've got a 120 gallon with a 40g sump. Any recommendations on what size heater I should get. I was thinking about a Jager.
