I have a HOB fuge that spills light into the tank at night. I run a 6500K lamp in the fuge, and my question is this. Do you think this light spillage is doing my harm than good?

Pick up a used litermeter I, it may take a while to score one but for the cost (should be ~100) it is absolutly the most fail proof and trusted top off unit out there.

You know that a single household light bulb will create a shimmer effect. It's driven by a single source light and doesn't make a hill of beans difference in the health of the aquarium.

Why is that aggresive? The tank gets indirect light, so really isn't a problem. It's not bright and sunny over the reefs every single day.
