Thanks. I thought about the blue+ and will probably try it in the future. I definitely like the bluer look of my new lighting. Really brings the purple out in my rocks.

The T-12 does look awfully dim compared to the T5's. It is VERY old (2 years?) Many in this forum tend to think (including The Grim Reefer) that the T12 actinics are superior. I am wondering if this...

I tried 96W PC and 40W PC on my 10 gallon. The 96 W was probably more than needed but I'm not really the person to ask. My refugium did a poor job growing macro, but I never tried chaeto either.

Sure, but these are certainly hotter on the surface than my VHO's were. Keep in mind I'm pushing them 80W each. I do have summer heat issues, so that will definitely be a help.

Just switched to T5's
Overall, I am happy with the upgrade. I previously had 4 T-12 VHO's (3 super actinics, 1 aquasun) on an ice cap ballast. I am now overdriving 3 T5's (1 UVL aquasun, 2 ATI aquablues) and I kept 1 UVL...

Would formula 2 be a good diet for a scopus tang? I have lots of macro in my display and thought the macros would suffice (actually I hoped it would control it) but it appears to be losing weight. It...

So do you have substantial outflow at the output? Mine seems like it is too much, but I might be wrong. It looks kinda like the picture he posted of a fountain but it is not that wide of a "bell".

Should the output on my protein skimmer be so strong that it creates a "bell fountain"? The splashing is creating microbubbles in my display.
