I did order a barbed-to-pvc fitting at the same...

I did order a barbed-to-pvc fitting at the same time I ordered the hose, but it is not a very tight fit when used with the flex hose. For example, 3/4 id flex hose actually seem's closer to 7/8 id......

It's a gravity fed return from an upstream refugium. The flex hose is a fairly snug fit over the pcv which goes about 12" down into the flex. I did also buy some smaller ID hose that I planed to run...
