I'm a big fan of scopas tangs. They have a very subtle beauty that you will easily learn to appreciate. In my experience they seem to stay pretty mellow as well. JMO

I feed spectrum pellets a lot in my reef, and I love them too. Seems to be a good food that creates little waste. I also feed hikari brine and mysis soaked in vitamins...

I've been to a lot of the big US aquariums, and Shedd is one of, if not the best I've been to. Haven't been to Newport, but I promise that Shedd won't dissapoint.

Had one for two years (he jumped :( ). Got him at about 4" for $28 and when he jumped he was close to 6" or so. He was in a 75g and ate everything - krill, spectrum pellets, squid, prime reef, et al.

Blackworms and clams are both great suggestions. Of the few cb butterflies I've dealt with, several took to spectrum pellets with gusto.

Magfloats and urchins both do a great job. I've had a blue tux in my 20g for a couple of years now, and he does a great job keeping the coraline off the glass.

A tank I used to clean (135 reef) had a pair of bluejaws as well as a couple of serpent stars and a sand-sifting star. As far as I know, there was never a problem with the triggers and starfish HTH
