I agree there are factors which cause RTN. But it seems more likely to start overnight than during the day. It will progress during the day certainly. But always seems to start during lights out....

If you go retro MH BUT you use spider reflectors you are wasting your time. Go T5 instead. Advantage of DE(sometimes mistakingly called HQI) is better reflectors over what was available for SE....

That's looking nice Keith. Many corals will sit for months and do nothing but encrust. Then bam off they go. Watch your alk consumption. It can change drastically when the corals hit the growth spurt.
