If you can get it out of the tank w/o harming it...
If you can get it out of the tank w/o harming it why not just propagate (cut it in half) yourself? There are many articles on the net about doing it.FWIW:)

no , I don't think so, as long as it is a BTA you would be fine. I am not a big proponent of mixing different kinds of nems in the same tank. BTW, I love the aquascaping you have done, very nice:)
