I was going to say that same thing, lol. You could also say that by having a reef system, it provides a TRUE natural habitat to marine fishes, such as tangs, clowns, gobies, etc.

I also find cycling a tank very stressful, but one way to start the ammonia cycle is to go oldschool and pee in a cup, then dump it in there. I wouldn't recommend it though, lol. ;)
