If you are only coming from under the tank, ie sump is in the stand, and you don't need a crazy amount of flow, many people feel that hoses are better as they will cut down on vibration noise...

Would it be smart to use old water from the display tank after water changes to cure the rock in? Or is it better to use freshly made SW.
