The rule of thumb = 1 snail per gallon. Dont get them all at the same time though. When I had a 12, I had 7 snails, and 5 hermits.

Thanks everyone. Im going to try the FWE... but im going to try siphoning as many of them out first, then doing freshwater dips of the rock... and then the FWE on the entire tank. Wish me luck :(
