Just like Joel said this fixture rested on top of the tank. I ran it as an open top...thus allowing me to have greater access to everything...the tank also ran cooler.

I second the Elos test...when wanting to figure...
I second the Elos test...when wanting to figure the difference of 1 pt. Alk. The test will turn the water yellow right away and that will tell you the Dkh of 8 or 9 for example. Super easy...

I have an older MRC MR-2 single beckett skimmer that I used on my 120. Worked out great for me...you will need an Iwaki 55 or a Genx-40 for the beckett. I am in Lisle
